Epic Camp NZ 2020 - Length of the South Island*
Rather than remembering 2020 as the year Covid-19 caused so much worldwide destruction we have come up with an Epic challenge that will give you memories of an accomplishment that will last a lifetime. Completing a point to point camp which will take you from the top to the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand is a special challenge. This will be a tough camp but time and time again we see athletes unlock potential they never knew was possible when they come on epic camp.
What you can expect on this camp will be 1100km of riding from Nelson to Bluff spread over 10 days along with running and swimming the equivalent distance from Bluff to Stewart Island . We’ll have some of our usual epic challenges to help encourage you to push yourself further such as KOM’s, events and handicapped races.
This Epic Camp will have a few deviations from our normal camps
We’ll be trying to make this camp more budget friendly which means we drop the usual epic camp extra’s such as massage and will have slightly less support crew
I’ll open the camp to have a cyclists only or aqua bike option
Athlete requirements - you will need to be FIT for this camp. We do not require you to be uber fast but if you are not able to do an ironman ride under 6.5hrs you will likely struggle to complete this camp.
Dates
Arrivals Friday 23rd October into Nelson - ideally we’ll do a short session Friday night
Departures Monday 2nd November from Invercargill (we will be finishing on Sunday afternoon if you need to fly out that night)
