Epic Camp: France 2011

Epic Camp France is set to commence from Lyon, France on Sunday 14th August 2011 (assemble Saturday 13th).

The Route:

The route will test everyone who attends no matter how strong they are, We’ll be taking in many of the classic Tour De France Climbs. There will be no easy days!

From Lyon we will head north to the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy. The climbs we will pass will include Col de Grand Colombier, Col de Joux Plane and Col de la Colombière. After two nights in Annecy we will bike South to Le Grave (about 30km from Alpe D’Heuz). There will be no shortage of altitude gains with climbs of Col Du Telgraphe, Col Du Galibier, Col de Croix de Fer and the infamous Alpe D’Huez. The final two nights of the camp will be based in Embrun home of one of the toughest Iron distances races in the world. Aside from checking out the great cols of the area there will be some brilliant open water swimming.
