Epic Camp: Australia 2005, 10-21 January

Camp Date: 10-21 January, 2005

Start / finish: Sydney, Australia

Cost: US$2,500 – Includes everything but Mercy

  • Airport pick-up and drop-off at Sydney International Airport
  • Twin share accommodation from Sunday, 9 January to Saturday, 22 January (13 nights)

Schedule:
The overall goal for this Epic Camp is a massive, bike oriented, base training camp. The Epic Crew will be encouraged to work together – for the most part!

9 January: Arrival in Sydney.

10 January: Swim Manly or just go to the beach. Ride 140km circuitous route to Penrith. Run off the bike.

11 January: Swim Penrith. Gym. Ride 180km to Goulburn. Run off the bike.

12 January: Run Goulburn. Ride 150km - Crookwell loop then Tour de Kangaroo Valley, 8-10,000ft of climbing.

13 January: Ride 2,000-foot climb to Bombaderry. Swim Bomaderry 50m outdoor pool. Ride to Narooma – total ride for day approx 190km. Run off the bike.

14 January: Ride to Cooma.

15 January: Regroup, recoup in Cooma.

16 January: Swim Cooma. Long run Cooma. Ride 60K to Jindabyne.

17 January: In Jindabyne.

18 January: In Jindabyne.

19 January: In Jindabyne.

20 January: In Jindabyne.

21 January: Swim Jindabyne. Ride back to Cooma. Fly back to Syndey.
